David began playing at 12 growing up listening to the bands of the 80's such as Def Leppard. That same year he witnessed Gary Moore and Def Leppard and was hooked on guitar. He went to the heavier side with Megadeth and the like but always was open to styles such as funk, soul and classical and prog rock.
All of these elements can be heard in David's music from soft ballads through to heavy.
